I spent decades interviewing the world’s most influential fashion designers—studying how they think, how they cut, and how they dress real women. Then I created the kaftan I could never find.
As a fashion and luxury lifestyle journalist and TV host, my career took me behind the scenes of the industry: from runway shows and ateliers to intimate conversations with designers whose work defined modern elegance. I produced fashion and beauty content for ¡HOLA! TV, served as Managing Editor at VOGUE México & VOGUE Latinoamérica and Harper’s BAZAAR en español, and ELLE México, among others.
Throughout those years, I developed a trained eye for what truly works on the female body—not trends, but proportion, movement, and intention.
And yet, there was one piece I kept returning to—and questioning: the kaftan.
I loved its ease and elegance, but I was always left wanting more structure, more versatility, more intention. Beautiful, yes—but often shapeless.
So I decided to design the kaftan I could never find.
